He held the title of Chairman & Chief Executive Officer at Sohu.com, Inc. and previously held the title of Chairman at Changyou.com Ltd. and Sogou, Inc. He is also an Independent Non-Executive Director at Destone Acquisition Corp. since 2022 and a Member of The All-China Federation of Industry & Commerce since 2012. He previously worked as a Liaison Officer at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Zhang holds a doctorate degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which he received in 1994, and an undergraduate degree from Tsinghua University, which he received in 1986.
