     The board of directors of Hangzhou Steam Turbine Co., Ltd. recently has received the

resignation letter from Mr. Yan Jianhua-the Vice Chairman of the Company. Mr. Yan Jianhua

applied for resignation from the company's vice chairman and the related duties in the special

committee of the board of directors due to reaching his legal retirement age. According to the

"Company Law", "Articles of Association" and other relevant regulations, The resignation of Mr.

Yan Jianhua will not result in the board members less than the quorum. the resignation report will

take effect from the date of delivery to the company's board of directors.

     Since he became a director of the company in 2001, Mr. Yan Jianhua has diligently and

faithfully fulfilled his duties and obligations as a director and in other positions of the Company.

He has put all his heart and efforts for the company's more than ten years continuous stable and

healthy development.
